    Can you login here? https://www.forensicsciencecareer.net/wp-login.php
    if you can, try:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

could not get in that way to follow your advice. That took me to the site with a page that said “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”

    try:
resetting the plugins folder by using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Thank K, I’ll give this a try later today and hopefully report my success!

Sorry, I couldn’t get back to this until now. Following the WP instructions, renaming the file and creating a new one did not work. I received the same error.

    Any more suggestions?

any other input? I may have to re-install WP and then load plugins and settings. If I do so, what are the primary files I need to change to “old” and then switch back after re-install?
