Cannot login to WordPress admin panel

  • We keep on trying to log in our WordPress page but we just fail for many times. I tried to reset the password and verify it through email and it wasn’t successful. I’m not having problems with this before. Can you please help us very soon? Looking forward for your reply. Thank you!!

  • If the password reset is not working, you can change the password hash from the database and then login. So from phpmyadmin, open the database, the wp_users table and find the administrator. Use a tool such as https://scriptserver.mainframe8.com/wordpress_password_hasher.php to specify a new password, copy the hash and store it back in the DB.

    Then something else might be wrong since this is proven that it works. Did you try to disable all plugins first?

    Since you do not have access to wp-admin section you can “disable” plugins by deleting their directories via FTP.

    Plugins can be found in /wp-content/plugins/ directory. Remember to take a backup of the directories before deleting, just in case.
