• I have more then 10 WordPress sites, all installed in one shared account.

All sites are alive but I cannot login to the dashboard (wp-admin) of most of them ( There is one that has no problems ). After I enetr user ID and password I simply get an empty page.

I was able to login to dashboard of all of the sites up until 48 hours ago and I have not done any changes since than .

I did try to use another computer to make sure this is not a cache or cookies issues and had the same problem.

I am not where to start with troubleshooting this problem. Any ideas are welcome

  • Hi Michelle,

    A few suggestions ??

Login to your FTP and check the error logins, normally called “error_log” – Paste the latest entries here for someone to check or send them to your host.

If you have any plugins installed, login to FTP, backup your plugins and try removing them one by one.

I’d ask your host if they’ve done any server upgrades since the issue started.

    Good luck ??

Thank you so much for the quick response.
In fact, there was a server upgrade.
I have contacted the hosting provider and they say it is not their problem.
Any idea what in a host upgrade could cause the described problem ?

I cannot find any error_log file that contains errors from the last few days.

It really could be any number of server configurations in Apache or PHP. I think it would be hard to know without asking them.

It would be good if they could at least help you trouble shoot. After all you are a paying customer ??

Does your hosting control panel have an option to view error logs? Can the host provide them for you?
