cannot login to admin on pc….but mobile works fine

This error indicates that cookies are not enabled in your browser. Try uninstalling and installing browser or try another browser you have. I am getting 500 Error at wp-admin. To fix 500 error, refer following URL.

My cookies are enabled. I have tried it on firefox, chrome, opera, and safari. Nothing seem to work. Is there an explanation why everything works fine on mobile?

I am also having this same issue. Tried troubleshooting through Google, Word Press forum, support, nothing seems to work. I think I will turn off auto update. Too many times have I had issues with websites going down or not functioning properly after the update.

I have many clients I need to upload files, changes data information, etc. Seems a whole days worth of work is going to be gone trying to figure this problem out. Can somebody PLEASE fix this issue!!!?

this can happen if Apache by default is running an earlier version of php.

try to put the following lines in the .htaccess file on its own lines:

AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php

The .htaccess file is usually to be found in the root directory of your wordpress blog or website, and is simply a text file that can be edited with Notepad or similar.

then just edit this file, DO NOT over write
