• Hi there,
Using an old version (site built in May 2013). A friend was updating software and plugins and then Kaboomb!
Now when I try to login to the back end get this error message…

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare check_password_reset_key() (previously declared in /home/creatova/public_html/wp-login.php:265) in /home/creatova/public_html/wp-includes/user.php on line 1637

Anything I can do to get in the back end of the website and fixit?

    Thanks,
Dermott [sig moderated as per the Forum Rules]

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

    Hello !

I have 2 wordpress pages and 2 domains. The 1st one : celiasoto.wordpress.com, I just deleted it. The second one, https://www.celiasoto.com, is the good one.
I try to log in but the system keep refusing my access and sometimes, after many many tries, it lets me in!
I thought it was because I have the same email adress registered for both sites ([email protected]) So, maybe the system gets confused ?!

Now, as I deleted the first one, I hope it gets better. For the moment it is still the same. My website, https://www.celiasoto.com, should be related to my email adress (but it seems only the 1st old site is)

I cleared caché in google.. but still.

    Can you help me ?

    THANK YOUUUUU

    CeliA

Help! I was deleting users (thousands) and now when I go to log in to my admin panel, it acts as if I am new to wordpress and tells me to download it. I have tried typing in index.php attached to my url, and nothing.
