    Hi,

I’ve made a local copy of my site using Duplicator and everything went smooth and fine, except that I can’t login to my site on the local version with my credentials.
I’ve tried again to make the migration and create a new user in the advanced options but I got an error saying that it couldn’t have been created…

Does anyone have a clue about this issue?

    Thanks in advance,
    D.

  • Hey @straw94,

Checkout this question on the FAQs page I believe it may help or provide some clues about this issue:

? ? – What is my WordPress admin password?
    ? ? – https://snapcreek.com/duplicator/docs/faqs-tech/#faq-installer-220-q

When creating a new admin user under advanced opts try and create a user you know doesn’t already exist. If the user name is already in the system then nothing will happen. You may also have to reset the user password if your version of MySQL support different password hashing algorithms (this is typically uncommon)..

Let me know if this helps~

Well, actually the problem is solved. The fm_users table simply hadn’t been created for some reason, so I’ve imported it manually. Do you know why it wasn’t created? I’m using Duplicator for the first time but it seems that there are other tables that were not created as well, so I’m trying to understand what happened as I really think this plugin is amazing and very helpful!

    Cheers,
    D.

On Step 3 of the installer it will show a report of errors. Did you happen to see any errors reported? Also on the installer-log.txt file should have some errors in the query to create the database was issued an error.
