• Hello all. Today morning I tried to login my wordpress blog but it refused my admin account credentials. I followed many times the “password reminder” process, but every time I tried to login with the new password, tha login screen cleared and remained there.

It happens with two blogs I have, hosted in Dreamhost.

Please any suggestions on how to resolve this?

    Thanks in advance

  • I can not get into my admin. When I clicked rest password and received the link it says that it does not recognize the link. Can some one offer help or advice. I have not upgraded yet and am on the 2 Click Here.com host.
    Thank you

As a general rule, before doing any upgrades disable plugins …

As a general rule, follow the upgrade instructions — then you dont need to worry about any other other general rules.

I can not get into my blog. When I enter my user name or e mail to retrieve a new password a link is sent to my e mail in box. When I click the link I return to the wordpress sign in page and see the following:

“Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid.”

I am not sure what steps I should take to resolve this. Any help or suggestions you can give would be greatly appreciated.

You may need to change your password elsewhere to fix this. If you have phpmyadmin, try this link: https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/phpmyadmin/

    renamed plugins folder, im in…

    All,

I had the same problem. In my case, it turns out the culprit was a plugin called “Enforce www. Preference“. Found it this way:

    1) Through FTP, Renamed \plugins folder to \NOplugins (simple way to deactivate all of them without deleting files).

    2) Logged in normally; worked fine. Goto Plugins admin area. (Note the error message saying all of them have been uninstalled.)

    3) Through FTP, returned the plugins folder to its original/correct name.

    4) Re-activated each plugin one-at-a-time, logging off and on after each activation.

When I activated the “Enforce www. Preference” plugin, the login loop problem returned. So through FTP I deleted that plugin, and all is fine!

    Good luck!
