After the latest update, we could not log in to the site admin and was being bypassed to the coming soon page.

To get access I had to Rename the Plugin Folder in cPanel then login to the Admin Dashboard and while still logged in rename the folder back and then set the standard WordPress Admin Login https://www.domainname.com/wp-login.php under the “Custom Login URL” and save.

I’m guessing this is a Bug?

Hi Mike, yes looks like a bug indeed – in the latest update I changed a bypassing code a little bit – which might caused the issue.

It is weird, since home_url('wp-login.php') should be bypassed automatically.

Could you send me a screenshot of your General WordPress Settings like this?

Btw I’ve just released 3.6.10 update, which checks only for wp-login.php in the URL, without site address.

Could you check with your installation if it works correctly now?

    Dear Ales,
with 3.6.10 i can login again.
But i recognized an issue at the same the as Doctor Micro.
I could not logout of the admin area. So i cleaned all cache and also at wp rocket the URL cache.
Then i faced the issue mentioned by Doctor Micro.
Did the steps to get access again. And updated to newest cmp.
But i can’t still not logout from admin area.
    thanks in advance
    HansPeter

Just tired to switch cmp from on to off.
    gives me an 404 error

Hello HansPeter, could you delete the CMP plugin and install it again as fresh installation? – but be aware that it will delete all the CMP Settings..

I cannot see the reason why it would not let you logout from your admin screen..

    thank you Ales,
switcher works also again with 3.6.11

    best regards

Thanks for the quick response to this.

I have removed the URL from the “Custom Login URL” and logged out and in and all seem to be working now.

Here is a screenshot of the General settings in the Admin area you had asked for:

Oh yes, it was caused by a mismatched www and non-www version of your website.

Anyway, I allowed wp-login.php regardless the website URL in the latest update which seems to resolve the issue.

Thanks for bringing this up so quickly.

    Cheers Ales

I also am unable to login to 6 sites I am working on due to a recent plugin update.

I am also using WPS Hide Login plugin and when I use my password for that it should take me to my WP login but instead I end right back to my Coming Soon Page.

Thanks for your help and advice in advance,

Hi Larry, you must whitelist your custom login URL in the CMP Advanced Settings > Custom login URL: https://imgur.com/a/2xfk74c

If you did not do that beforehand, you must deactivate either CMP or WPS plugin by renaming the plugin folder via FTP or any other tool with access to your wp-content folder on the server.

It was working fine until the last update, is this one of the changes made in the plugin? Just curious.

@larkintx1 yes we changed a code behind that in the latest update for a better security and advanced blacklist / whitelist features.

I believe it might be a good idea to display a notice for the users using custom login URL..
