Cannot log on to my sites dashboard

  • Hey guys,

    When i try to go into wp-admin instead of the normal wordpress password and user name i get a box saying authentication required and the following message;

    A username and password are being requested by https://www.mysite.com. The site says: “Authorized Only”

    user name =
    password =

    Obviously my user and password does not work here. Is this the Brute Force problem that everyone is shouting about?? Is there any way i can get back into my site??

    Can be. Most hosts have put in place restrictions in their own way. BTW, are you using any security plugins? If so, turn them off and try again. If that’s not the case, please contact your host.
