    – to rule out any theme specific issue, try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using FTP , or your web-host’s cPanel or whatever file management application your host provides. Navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder by adding “-old” to the end of the folder name. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.

    Thank you Tara

    I have navigated to the file manager, and located my public HTML files and found the wp-content/themes/ folder, but I do not know how to go go about doing as you suggested Tara.
    How do I switch to the unedited default Theme, and how do I know what my current folder is (to be able to add “-old” to it.

    Try logging in the admin here:

    I have tried that, and its not working.
    I have tried resetting the password but it seems it will only send to my wordpress email, that I cannot access if it is part of WP.org (when I set up the website)

    how do I know what my current folder is

    your current theme is “omega”

    So, do something like this:
    /wp-content/themes/omega-OLD

    Alternately, you can remove all other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.

    I would do the following;

    Rename: /wp-content/themes > /wp-content/themes-old

    Rename: /wp-content/plugins > /wp-content/plugins-old

    Then see if you can access. If you can, rename the /wp-content/themes-old back to /wp-content/themes and try login in or refreshing, if you get a white screen again, one of your themes causing issue; omega might be it. If not, then you’ll have to rename your /wp-content/plugins-old to /wp-content/plugins and rename each plugin so that it ends with old in it, then log in see if it works, if it works, go plugin by plugin renaming it to its original name, and each plugin you rename back, try to log I to your dashboard, the last plugin you renamed, if you get white screen is the plugin giving you the problem.

    Let us know, thanks!
