Cannot log into wp-admin due to security

Try contacting your web host and see if they will allow you to use the PHP exec() function on your account. It may or may not be possible.

Thank you, I think that might be a good answer. They offered to change that but I managed to “disable” the plug-in by renaming the plug-in directory on the server via FTP.

It would be great to know if that is an adequate fix – or if it will leave bits of code on the site only to cause problems later.

You can remove the plug-in via FTP.

After you remove the plug-in via FTP, rename the folder back to what it was, so you can install additional plug-ins in the future.
