cannot log in after hacker/phishing

after a hack/phishing attack I have tried to gain access but of course my password doesn’t work. Tried to get the password reset but my email address is now not recognised as a User and although WP tells me they are sending the password to my username it is linked to an email which isn’t registered as a user anymore!!

I have tried a number of things via ftp but no joy there…
