• Resolved senatepress

I cannot log into my site – senatepress.net – everytime I enter my username/password and hit enter, the page just goes white and I cannot do anything else.

The last thing I was working on was adding a google analytics tracking code to the CSS template, and then the site stopped working properly.

Can someone please assist ASAP? The site has been down for 24+ hours.

  • No – you need to check the site/server error log. Ask your hosts for assistance with this.

I’m not sure what you meant by plan c. I can deactivate the plugins, but what do you mean by: was the the site used to work in current hosting?

the site worked fine prior to all these issues.

Please just check the site/server error log.

When I check bluehost for error messages i see a list of codes:

    400 (bad request)
    401 (authorization required)
    403 (forbidden)
    404 (not found)
    500 (Internal server error)

    etc.

Ask Bluehost to point you towards your error log.

have you solved the problem yet? if not: have you tried deleted the exiting .htacees file, upload all three wp themes like twenty ten, twelve, thirteen… check you wp-option file for current theme location which theme its saying. also plan c was clearing the wp-active plugin in the same table assuming you have already deleted all the themes already. clear that filed as well on wp-option table.

I’ve emailed Bluehost support, but I have not received an answer. I have not been able to resolve the problem. Where would the .htacees file be located?

at the root dir using FTP inside public_html or www whatever it is. where wp-admin, wp-content folders are

Underneath public_html there are several folders including wordpress, wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes etc. The wordpress folder is empty. Would this be the cause of the problem? Should I move the wp-folders into the wordpress folder?

Whats the difference between public_ftp, public_html, tmp, www folders?

its at the first dir not inside any folder. what file you see just after log in using FTP. the file is has a notepad icon .htaccess where all the folder names wp-admin,wp-content, wp-includes are…

its inside public_html along with all other folders you have mentioned I haven’t see earlier. go don’t you will see a file with notepad icon. ignor the rest of the files don’t more any folder inside any other folder

There is no notepad icon in the public_html folder.
