• I’m installing my first WP blog and I am having a problem with the AdSense-Deluxe2 Plugin.

When I try to edit or delete an adsense block I get an error: Cannot load adsense_deluxe.php

    How do I resolve this?

  • Is that plugin made for WP 2.6? Since 2.6 is so new, the plugin may not work with that version.

You can add the code from adsense into standard text widgets. Those should not create such errors.

    Thanks

The plugin might be outdated as it was last update in April and therefor not for 2.6

The text widget, as far as I can see only puts the code in the side bars and doesn’t embed it with the content. Right?

What other Adsense plug in would you recommend.

    Hmmm…
I am not a professional designer and I admit my knowledge of design is somewhat rudimentary. Just the bits and pieces I’ve picked up along the way.

I’m not aware of any other adsense plugins, though I’m sure they are out there.

Can you add the adsense code inside the theme editor? Like in the “single post” (usually single.php) or index.php pages? I don’t know if that will work, it’s just an idea.

DoshDosh has released a theme called ProSense that you could examine and compare- I think it contains a lot of the features you want. You could at least see how he did it, and maybe integrate some of it into your own theme.

    The Solution

Move the files from the “Adsense-Deluxe” folder to “yourdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/

    So you should have:

    “yourdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/adsense_deluxe.php” and “yourdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/adsense_deluxe”

    Hope you get it fixed.
