Fully upgraded on WordPress and all plugins at this time.

Installed Ninjafirewall for WordPress today, and this customer’s cPanel server hosting is a typical shared hosting environment. Nothing appears to be fancy, but for whatever reason once the installer creates either the php.ini or .user.ini.

I remove either of those files after created (via deletion through FTP) and the site definitely comes back online.

Unfortunately, I have no way to restart Apache, as they’re hosting somewhere else rather than on our own cPanel servers. Unsure what else to check for, but really want to get this installed and working.

Also, don’t ask me why WordPress is in a “wordpress” sub-folder. It was that way before I inherited the site recently. Crazy developers not knowing what they’re doing lol

Did you look in your HTTP logs for the error message ?
They are accessible from cPanel “Raw Access log” and “Error log” menu.
