• Hi Guy’s,
Can anyone help me with this Please.
When i try to install wordpress on a domain i get the error message,

“You chose to install in the main directory of the domain theabcoasterreviewed.com, but there are conflicting filenames, therefore we can not proceed. Following filenames already exist in the main directory of the domain theabcoasterreviewed.com (path=”/home/pushbu33/public_html/www.theabcoasterreviewed.com/”).You must manually remove these files before proceeding with auto-installation:
    wp-content
    wp-includes
I have done this step a dozen times, but the files never seem to delete and i always get the same error message.

    Tony

  • I don’t have enough details to diagnose your problem, but I would suggest using this approach to accomplish what you want: a WordPress install that looks like it is in the root.

This is my preferred method of installing WordPress. Obviously, the first step is to install WordPress into a folder (i.e. – subfolder of root), before you can follow these instructions.
