Cannot import from WordPress: An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API

  • I am running a local WP installation on my system. I am tring to import posts I exported from another instance. I go to admin > tools > import, then click on ‘wordpress’ and get “An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request.”

    I don’t understand why there is an API request. Should I just get an ‘upload file’ dialog? Aren’t I just uploading an XML file into WP?

    Never mind…. [dumps WP Multisite]

    I’ve installed wordpress 3.1.1 in co.cc domain
    cybermarshalls.co.cc

    but when i click on import option, it shows an error ” An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request. “
    please help
    i’m shifting my blog and i’m unable to do it because of this error.
    please help.
