• Hello,

I’ve been having trouble getting the importer to work with my site, and am hoping you can help me resolve the problems. Here’s my development environment:

    OS: CentOS 7
    Wordpress 4.1
    HTML Importer v2.5.1

I’m basically having two problems. One is that it does not recognize the Dreamweaver template region in my source files. It looks like this:

    <!– #BeginEditable “Narrative” –>

I’ve tried entering Narrative both with and without quotations, but when the import completes, the post has been created but the body of the article is empty.

The other problem is that I’m only able to import one file at a time. When I run it against an entire folder, nothing is imported, and this is what is output:

    HTML Importer
    Importing HTML files…
ID Old path New path Title
    All done. Have fun!
    Importing images…
    All done.
    Go to the Media Library.
    Fixing relative links…
The importer is searching your imported posts for links. This might take a few minutes.
No posts were found with the URL_before_HTML_Import custom field. Could not search for links.

Here’s a link to one of the files I’ve been trying to import (I am importing them from a local directory … not from the URL):

    Thanks.

Hmm. Let’s start with the first problem. Does it work if you remove the library item that’s within the Narrative region?

    Hello Stephanie,

I removed the library item, but that didn’t do the trick. I then removed all the Dreamweaver related tags (except the one for the “Narrative” region), as well as the php tags. Still nothing.

I’m having a similar problem – identified the Dreamweaver region, but it didn’t import the Content. I get the title (but I set that to html) and the post is created, but the content area is blank.
