Cannot import .csv files?

no matter which format i try and bring in emails from a .csv file they all just get errors saying its not an email, i have exported the .csv from campaign monitor directly, ive tried formatting it in different ways (with or without commas after every address etc.. but everytime it just gives errors on every email addeess….any ideas?
