Cannot have full text on main page

  • Hi. I am currently frustrated, as any time that I try to display my front page posts as full text instead of excerpt, my sidebar and its widgets all disappear. I attempted to fix this through code, but I honestly don’t know what to do. I really, really would appreciate if anyone could help me with this issue, this is very important for the layout overall of my blog.

    You can do it by following the below steps

    Go to Wp admin Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Content/Excerpt and check the option which says “Blog Index” (the first one)

    So, it doesn’t work. That’s what I had said the issue was, i tried that, but all my sidebar widgets disappear. Site is youngwildwife.com.

    I am not sure why would this happen. This is just an option whether you show full content or just the excerpt, not sure why it would mess the sidebar up.

    I tried adding text to one of the post using firebug and didnt see any issues. can you please try again and post a screenshot for us to review.
