    Ok, so I have tried to update to 3.5.8 version of woocommerce. I tried updating before updating WordPress and after. Each time I get an error that the site cannot process the request (blank white page). I have not update the PHP version as of yet. All other plugins and themes update with no error on site. Only when I update Woocommerce do I get an error. My current settings are below;

    woocommerce 3.0.8
    woocommerce square 1.0.34
    YITH WooCommerce Subscription 1.2.9
    wordpress 5.0.3 installed
    mysql server version 5.6.39 cli lve
    protocol version 10
    web server php version 5.6.30
    Total theme version 4.8 envato market

    Please advise any steps I can take to update Woocommerce to work with the new WordPress.
    Thanks

    Hi there,

    The first thing I’d suggest is updating the PHP version on the hosting server to PHP 7.2. Once that’s done, retry the WooCommerce update and see if that works.

    If it doesn’t please paste a screenshot here of the exact error. I recommend https://snag.gy for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in this chat. It works with Chrome, Firefox and IE.

    Hi @techsnoop,

    I’m assuming that you made a mistake in your original post, as version 3.5.8 of WooCommerce does not exist. The latest version of our plugin is 3.5.3 – is that the one you are trying to update to?

    Updating from 3.0.8 to version 3.5.3 is a big jump – there are a lot of versions I’m between. It looks like the update is bringing down your site, which usually indicates a plugin conflict. It’s possible that a theme, plugin or combination of plugins is not compatible with the latest version of WooCommerce – which cause the site to stop working.

    I’d recommend trying to update the WooCommerce plugin while running the default Storefront theme, while ALL of your plugins are disabled.

    If the plugin updates correctly, I’d then recommend activating features one by one, until you find the one that was causing the site to go down.
