Cannot Get URL Coupon Working

    I’ve tried applying a percentage discount coupon to an individual product and also product category, but I consistently get “Sorry, this coupon is not applicable to selected products.”

    I’m using the format {site_url}/?wt_coupon={coupon_code}

    If I apply the coupon at checkout it works, but I’m looking for a direct link here. Are there certain conditions around which this feature won’t work or known plugin conflicts?

    Would this definitely be resolved by purchasing the premium plugin?

    Hi @megtau,

    Kindly ensure that you have added the product to the cart before entering the coupon URL. If the cart is empty and you entered the coupon URL, you will get this error.

    What’s the benefit of the Coupon URL then? It can’t be used on 3rd party sites to offer discounts otherwise you would have to explain to the visitor that they have to put the product in the cart first, and then go back and click the coupon URL link…

    Does the premium version allow the discount to be applied automatically if the link is clicked, or is it similarly complicated?
