Cannot get to wp-admin page

Hi there,

I set up a site at the end of 2011 and have only just come back to it. It was all working fine when I last accessed it, but now I cannot get to the wp-admin page to login to the dashboard. When I add ‘/wp-admin’ or ‘/wp-login’ after the domain name, it just redirects to whichever page I was on. No login screen appears but neither does an error.

I’ve tried in Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

I have also tried, via FTP:

1) Removing all plugins by renaming the folder. Had no effect (beyond amending the look of the site based on some of the effects the plugins were having).
2) Amending the ‘Functions.php’ file to try to rename the urls. Got an error message but no matter how long I waited or how many times I refreshed (after clearing cache) I just kept getting the error message.
3) Renaming the theme folder to try to redirect to standard TwentyEleven. Just got entirely blank pages after that.
