Cannot get this to load in any browser

I am bound to the version of WP my host is using; I can’t upgrade it to their server and I am unsure the version. I am using a stock WP template and when I click on the font settings at the top, I just get a small box on the left side of my window that has a ‘spinner’ in it. It never does anything. If I reload the page it just goes away.
I really wish this would work as I am NOT a coder and can’t figure out how to change my fonts.
Very disappointed that this doesn’t appear to work for me
