Cannot get rid of an link in my background.

  • Office Wife The archive pages, earlier, and not sure how many months forward, there is a link on the left hand side, in the background, barely visible. I did not put it there and I cannot find where it is in the pages to delete it.

    I had a client point it out to me, I have combed the pages, but still not real familiar with the structure. Where can it be hidden?

    HELP. This is driving me nuts. Where else do I look?

  • You can search your site using ftp for a word or phrase and most likely find which file it is in but, to make sure you don’t get hit again and to rule out any backdoors left by the hackers you need to use the assets esmi listed.

    I went thru the posts, for the archives and found the links there. Now I am going to go back to the other theme and see if it shows up still.

    And yes I worked through the posts. The last two do not seem to pertain to the current version. Are the steps different for the latest versions?

    Now I have to go through and find the weakness, I have a the latest versions for firewall and wp.
