Cannot get process to complete – or now – even launch

    I cannot get the process to complete. The first time I tried, it completed the copying of the database tables, then stopped at 3% of copying the files. I did a restart, which failed immediately and left me with two error messages:

    Warning: file_put_contents() [function.file-put-contents]: Only 1241088 of 1711995 bytes written, possibly out of free disk space in /home/cocs/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-staging/includes/template-functions.php on line 169

    Warning: file_put_contents() [function.file-put-contents]: Only 0 of 1529 bytes written, possibly out of free disk space in /home/cocs/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-staging/includes/template-functions.php on line 1496

    On my third attempt – the process would not even start at all – errror message is: Warning: file_put_contents() [function.file-put-contents]: Only 1241088 of 1711995 bytes written, possibly out of free disk space in /home/cocs/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-staging/includes/template-functions.php on line 169

    Warning: file_put_contents() [function.file-put-contents]: Only 0 of 1529 bytes written, possibly out of free disk space in /home/cocs/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-staging/includes/template-functions.php on line 1496

    For reference, the WordPress site is hosted via Linux.

    Hi,

    thanks for your message. The error reason is explained with just a few words:

    You have not enough free disk space for creating a clone

    Usually this happens when you want to clone the entire site including huge files like backup ones. Often such files are using gigabytes, and there are several ones.

    To resolve this:

    1. At first delete the incomplete clone sites!
    2. Create a new clone
    3. Exclude all folder which are containing backup files or other huge files.
    4. Try again

    Please send me also a mail to support [at] wp-staging.com. I like investigate more into your issue. Usually WP Staging should detect automatically when there is not enough free disk space. This failed on your system.

    Thank you – it makes perfect sense and I’m in the progress of recommending my client increase their hosting package.
