    We purchased this plugin in hopes to display posts from facebook on the website and we cannot get past the access token process. Our social media manager at my agency is responsible for over a thousand facebook business pages and apps and has much experience with creating apps and linking all of this together, and no matter what she does or what I do, we keep getting sent back to the wordpress backend from facebook and it just keeps prompting us to get access token. i checked and the app is created properly in facebook. the documentation that i am following is here https://web-dorado.com/wordpress-facebook-feed/options.html

    our plugin DOES NOT have the option of inputting the token ID from the app above the Time zone as pictured in the documentation.

    all that happens is that we click get access token, we get redirected to facebook, choose the account, choose the page, grant the access, wait for it to load, the window closes and the page refreshes to wordpress admin section, and nothing changes or happens. we cannot get the access token to work. no error message, no logs, no nothing.

    This is frustrating as something like this should take 15-20 minutes tops, and we are both sitting over here about 2-3 hours intro trying to figure this out. i don’t want to lave a bad review, but we might have to request a refund for a product that does not work.

    We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    Firstly, we should ask you to deactivate and delete the plugin, and reinstall it once again.

    If this does not help, please follow the instructions below.

    Go to Facebook Feed > Options > Uninstall the plugin.

    Afterward, in your Facebook Profile > Settings > Apps remove the APP.

    Here, you need to go to Facebook Feed > Options again and press Re-authenticate.

    Now when you create the feed it should be updated periodically.

    i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. also – i believe your documentation is out of date with screenshots showing older systems. please advise

    what am i missing here? what is the order that i have to go through the steps. do i make the app first on facebook, then install the plugin, then try to get the access token sorted out? install facebook plugin, make the app, then get the token? whats the deal?

    @suziekh im using the premium version from your website. the thing im noticing is that i do not have input boxes for the app secret and app ID. it just starts at TIMEZONE.

    this is the step i cannot complete. i tried the free plugin and i tried the premium plugin. both DO NOT have a place for me to put this information in. i am able to follow all the steps until this point. i have admin to the page and i i have admin to wordpress (we host the site here) and there are no settings to put this in. so the authentication has no app id or app secret to pull from – there is nowhere to put this info in.

    this is the step i cannot complete – theres no input boxes in the settings to put the info in!

    Save the changes and access WordPress administrative panel of your website. Navigate to Facebook Feed WD > Options page and copy the App ID and App Secret into the corresponding inputs. Make sure to save the changes.

    please do not take 5 days to respond. i am a paying customer and i am about to request a refund, leave a review, and move on to another plugin. im giving you a shot to help me out on this one – so please take it.

    just to also reconfirm. i have tried to install this plugin on other websites not on the same server and i still do not have options to put in the app ID or the app secret.

    i have also created a fresh install of wordpress that is completely up to date without any other plugins activated and i simply do not have the options to put that data in.

    i have also used the WD manager to install and update the plugin in all of these scenarios and there are no options for those input boxes available. what the hell is going on here? where is the support? i have emailed the premium support directly, and i do not get a response or a message back that says my ticket has been created or any indication that my support request has been acknowledged.

    this is crazy. just take my money and run and offer no support for a broken product? thats what it feels like.

    i have sent this form through twice now without a reply. to anyone reading this – expect this level of support – and by that i mean – NONE. they take your money and run and do nothing to help you but put quick replies to try and placate you or make this take longer. here i am over 7 days after initial support request and have yet to hear ANY realistic solution from anyone.
