• Hi, I’ve just installed 2F on my site.
Settings: for admins only, and without a grace period.

When I (as an admin) try to log into my WordPress panel, I am asked to input my authentication code, I do so, and then they system takes me NOT into my panel, but to https://staging.anorexiafamily.com/404/

So currently I am locked out of my control panel. Can you help?

In case it’s relevant, I also use plugin Easy Hide login, which means I have to use a special url to log in to my WordPress control panel.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Update: I disabled the Easy Hide Login plugin through my web hoster and now everything works as expected.
Is there a setting within the Wp 2FA plugin that would allow me to continue using the Easy Hide?
Otherwise, any thoughts on which gives my website the best protection: 2-factor authentication, or the (secret) login url created by this other plugin?
    Thank you

    Hello @evamusby

Thank you very much for using our plugin.

I can confirm that our plugin does not work well with the plugin Easy Hide Login. We will be looking into this and see if our plugin can support this plugin. In the meantime, if you’d like to keep yourself up to date with new plugin releases, we recommend you to subscribe to our newsletter.

In regards to your other question; it is certainly more secure to have two-factor authentication over changing / hiding the login page URL. If you are concerned about automated bots, I would also add CAPTCHA to the WordPress login page.

I hope the above helps. Should you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Have a great day.

Thanks for that really helpful reply ??
And for the tip to use your CAPTCHA plugin to protect when logging into my wordpress panel — I had not thought of that.

Given that my moderately small website was hacked in spite of a long, random password, I am glad to have these extra measures in place
