Cannot get image to appear full width, like the demo site

Did you either re-upload the images after you changed the settings or use the regenerate thumbnail plugins to generate correct sized images for the slider>

I had uploaded images at the correct size. My workaround was to place the caption on the right hand side to hide the gap.
Will try your ideas.

And, yes, the other was an accidental duplicate. Thanks for understanding.

Respectfully, hiding that big white gap isn’t actually fixing it; it’s hiding it. If we don’t want a caption on the slider images, we’re still left with that gap. Like therealstevedavis, I am also trying to upload images at the exact dimensions. I started with 1040 x 400, then went to 1040 x 300 and have tried 1240 x 300. I could go even larger I suppose, but something is wrong.

I tried your ‘regenerate thumbnails’ suggestion and there was no effect.

P.S.- My screen resolution is 1280 x 1024. I notice that if I squash my browser window down to about 1024, the slider window snaps into proper dimensions and the problem of the white gap goes away.

Having the same problem. I have tried almost everything. I say almost because it’s not fixed.

I’m starting to think it is a plug in combination problem. I am going to try deactivating some of the plugins.

If someone comes up with a solution let us know. Also, feel great about yourself because you will be helping someone get some sleep tonight…..me. Getting a little frustrated…..hahah

Realize this thread is closed but wanted to share an observation FWIW.
I see the white-space-on-right problem too, but it could be a browser compatibility issue. The white gutter appears on chrome and safari, but not on firefox.

Since this was never really resolved I’ll post my thoughts. I am using the Agency Pro theme and was having the same issue:

1. use firebug to locate the container of the slider – head to “layout” on the right side and there should be 40px of padding. Then go to “Computed” and find the padding, it should tell you the line of code you need to bring to zero. open CSS file and change to 0.

2. find the

.site-inner,
.wrap {

code in the css and change that to the width of your images. Note you will have to change more than one of these strings depending on how many media queries your css calls.
