My posts have featured images, but these are not getting displayed when posting on LinkedIn. Are there any suggestions?

    Hi @disruptive,

Can you please provide a link to the post you are trying to share?

    Thanks,

    Hi @disruptive,

When you share the same link again do you get the same error?

    No. only via the plugin.

This works on LinkedIn and other social media, but doesn’t seem to work through the plugin.

    Hi @disruptive,

I am not sure if you answered my question right. What I am asking is if you share the same post again via the plugin does it share with an image the second time? This is an important test. Please don’t assume it will do the same thing again. Because what I am testing here is whether the issue has to do with the discovery of the image immediately after publishing. Because if your 2nd share did work ok with the image, I might be able to provide a possible solution. If the image didn’t work both times, it may require more investigation.

If you have done this already, my apologies for misunderstanding. Thanks,

Interesting. When I edit and save. I can now see the image in linkedin.

I just repeated with another post and I’m seeing the same thing.

Is there any putative fix for this? Happy to test.

    Hi @disruptive,

So just to confirm, when you share the same post a second time, the new share on LinkedIn does include the image?

    Thanks,

Yes that appears to be the case!

    Hi @disruptive,

Thanks for that confirmation. We have had some reports of this in the past. We have addressed a solution for this through the pro version called AutoSocial: https://northernbeacheswebsites.com.au/autosocial/

It has a feature called delay mode which shares a post a couple of minutes after the post has been been published and this should ensure the image gets through to LinkedIn ok. We have found that sometimes when sharing the link to LinkedIn, that LinkedIn crawls it so quickly that by the time LinkedIn looks at it, the image is not available and this can cause issues. So this is why we developed delay mode which took some time and it resolves this issue. If the pro version doesn’t work for you, I would be happy to provide you with a full refund. Thanks,
