Cannot get books to use custom book-content.php

First and foremost, thank you very much for your plugin, very useful and nicely done.

I am having a problem trying to make a custom template. I followed the steps given in the FAQ, creating the folder “novelist” in my theme’s folder, creating the book-content.php file, putting a template there (actually, I just copied the file from the novelist plugin and modified it to see any changes), but it still grabs the template from the plugins folder.

I am using a child theme, I don’t know if it has anything to do with that.
