Cannot find page error

I am new to the whole blogging world and after looking into which blog site was the best to use I decided to go with wordpress. Setting up by blog was relatively easy but when I want to visit the page or log in to amend/add to the page I often get an error message just saying that the page cannot be found. I have read a few forum posts regarding problems like this and they seem to be caused due to added extras on the blog, however mine is probably the most basic out there. I was even having this problem when there were no posts and it was still just the inital wordpress template page. Is there anything I can do to make this problem go away so that people can access my blog whenever they want (as well as myself being about to amend it)? This seems to be a random problem, so sometimes it does work perfectly fine, but other times it doesn’t. Incase you need it my blog details it is gettinglippy.com

Please note that I am a complete novice when it comes to blogs and anything to do with wordpress and I am not very tech minded – so any suggestions will need to be given as though you are talking to a complete idiot!!
