Just to be certain, you don’t have a “BP Registration” item in your right hand menu?

Also since I know it’s come up at least once, are you running BuddyPress or BuddyBoss? Asking because we don’t have officiall support thus far for BuddyBoss, but hope to at least have compatibility in some checks we do to allow it all to work with that fork.

    Hello,

    thanks for replying

I do not have a “bp registration” link in my admin menu on the left hand side of the wordpress dashboard.

is there any way to find the settings? I would really like to use this plugin.

    I am using buddyboss

    thanks

So the main issue in regards to the BuddyBoss detail, is that they override a version value that we check for from BuddyPress. That puts the version check below our threshold, thus no wiring up of things.

I do have this change made as part of what will eventually be version 4.4.0: https://github.com/WebDevStudios/BuddyPress-Registration-Options/commit/5d4c8715cac18698dbd4b9cf9d59daf141b54124

However we’re not there yet. The alternative that was found that worked without having to potentially edit our plugin, is just enabling the forums feature from BuddyBoss, even if not planning to use it. That “tricks” things into enabling as well because we do have some bbPress support as well.

    Hello,

I have just enabled the forums feature and its now showing on the menu,

I have tried to create a few test acounts and they are receiving activation keys? this does not let me approve new accounts. new users are automatically approved

    thanks

As is, we don’t prevent activation and general overall site usage. They should be able to go shop in the ecommerce section with a full account, etc, or leave comments on blog posts. What our plugin does is prevent access to the BuddyPress/bbPress areas until approved. Depending on the settings, they either get read-only views OR they get restricted to just their BuddyPress/bbPress profile areas.

We don’t technically support BuddyBoss still, so if the readonly/restricted areas aspects on BuddyBoss frontend is going to be a “bleed through” from BuddyPress. The user management part isn’t dependent on either, but other parts would be.
