Cannot find database – MAMP on Mac

I am trying to install WP on Mac using MAMP.

Everything goes OK, until I enter in the setting which website I want to post. Then, it starts giving me error messages (cannot find database).

I have used both the web interface and changed manually the config files. Nothing seems to work.

Is there anyone who might know how to solve this? If you could keep it simple, it wold be great – I am not Unix savy or a programmer.
