Hi there – I looked through the forum and not getting the answers.

I run various different websites – and I use UpdraftPlus on all of them. I selected Google Drive as my remote storage – and I use one Google Drive Account for all back up’s.

I receive the emails each week – and took it for granted that the back up was completed correctly. When I went into google drive – updraftplus folder – there are only 2 website backups – where there should be 6 website back ups.

I have a problem with one website, where the host provider was hacked, and trying to get things back to normal. At this stage I do not have access to the WP Admin section of the site due to the hacking. The website is emergencyassist.co.bw – and I need to restore the latest back up – but cannot find the files in Google Drive?

I have checked all my other Google Drive accounts to make sure that I did not use one of them – but nothing there.

Please can you assist of where the files could be, or how can I access the back up?

If the hosting company is able to provide access to the WP Admin – will I be able to do the restore from there??

    Many thanks

    Gerald

    Hi Gerald,

By default UpdraftPlus saves the backups in the “wp-content/updraft” folder of your website host server. Also, if the backup fails to complete for some reason then the backups will remain in that folder as well.

“If the hosting company is able to provide access to the WP Admin – will I be able to do the restore from there?”
    > I’m afraid we can only help restore the website only if you have a copy of the backup file as well.
