    Hey Mickif,

Things have changed, and I haven’t put together a new guide yet, sorry!

Here’s the quick and dirty version:

    1) Go here, for the API: https://console.developers.google.com/

If you haven’t yet, create a project, and then select it.

    2) Go to Library, and in the search box, start typing Calendar https://console.developers.google.com/apis/library

    3) Select the Google Calendar API, and then click enable.

    4) On the sidebar, click on Credentials (key icon)

    5) At the top middle, click on Create Credentials > API Key (might appear slightly different).

Let me know if this helps! Also, if you can share a link to your public calendar, then I can help you out with getting the id.

    Thanks!
    Dan

    Hi Dan,

Thank you, I so appreciate your quick help. I was able to get it set up, google does not make it easy :)!!!

It looks good… except… now I need to know if it is possible to integrate to show the calendar details as a separate entity? Or can a link to the calendar detail page come up when using the calendar view, like it does in list view? I will read more of any documentation I can find.

Regarding shortcodes, for list view (nice) how would I go about hiding the calendar ID?

    Thanks again!
    Micki

    Micki,

Glad to hear that worked for you! Currently, there is not a separate entry (post or page) created for each object. On the calendar view, if you click on the name of the event, does clicking on the title take you to that calendar event page?

If not, let me know and I’ll look again, it’s been a little bit since I’ve looked at that portion of code.

    Thanks,
    Dan
