Cannot figure out how to change the look

I have the plug in installed and operational and I really like it, but I cannot figure out how to change the formatting of it.
1. I do not see the comments on my Guestbook page. https://www.lorishavanese.com/aboutus/guestbook/
2. when using it as widget, the comments do not appear on the screen, but only when you hover over it. Then you get a pop-up box that show’s the comments from the user. https://www.lorishavanese.com/puppyinfo/
3. I cannot figure out how to edit the colors of the fonts and so forth on the widget. https://www.lorishavanese.com/puppyinfo/
I am somewhat new to wordpress and am able to customize things when I have a template of something to work from. I liked this plugin initially because it seemed to have a lot of setup configuration options, but I cannot seem to get things to work the way I want.
