This is my second attempt to ge tthis problem resolved. Hopefully sonmeone will be able to help me this time.
I recently imported my blog from a WordPress.com site. My videos (from YouTube and Dailymotion) are no longer embedded and show up merely as links.
Wordpress.com automatically wrapped the URLs in the embed shortcode. www.remarpro.com only gives me the choice to copy the URL and title it, so it shows up as a link in my post.
The auto-embed box is ticked in Settings-Media.

Incorrect. Manually posting the embed code in the html editor works, so does posting the video link, if you follow the directions. I just posted a youtube url on my test site following these directions and it worked perfectly.

post a link to a page on your site where the broken video is so someone can actually take a look at the code and perhaps point you in the right direction.

[edit] pay particular attention to what is under the “In A Nutshell” section on that page.
