I’m having trouble editing my replies to questions and reviews after submitting them. When I click on my previous response to a customer’s question/review for editing it opens their initial question/review, not my response. This was working fine before the latest updates. I also tested this on my staging site to verify there is no conflict with other plugins.
The reason I’m editing these is that when answering Q&A and reviews the reply name and email shown are your profile name and email address. Right now I submit a reply and then have to go back and change the name as I prefer it to have my store name and email as the responder, not me personally. It would be great if you had a name and email field shown when replying to the customer instead of then editing it after submission.

    Thanks for reporting this problem!

It is a known bug in WooCommerce plugin that has been reported multiple times to the WooCommerce team: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/34344

Unfortunately, we cannot resolve it from our side because the code requiring correction is in WooCommerce plugin. Please reach out to the WooCommerce support team quoting the link above. Hopefully, it will help to increase priority of problem, and they will implement a fix.

Reading through the link you sent I can see the reviews and Q&A sections in your plugin do not have the quick edit option. It’s only shown in the comments tab. Is the missing quick edit a bug or oversite with your plugin?

Also, you didn’t respond to my feature request about including the name and email in the response. Is this something your plugin would be able to add to save the editing of replies step?

Thanks for getting back to us!

    1. It is neither a bug or oversight. There was never an option to “quick edit” questions and answers. You might notice that there is also no “quick edit” option on the reviews page in our plugin’s menu. We will work on adding this feature in the next versions of the plugin.

    2. If you would like to use a different name / email when responding to questions, it is recommended to create a new WordPress user for this purpose. This way, you won’t need to manually enter the same details (name / email) for each response and risk making a typo.
