Cannot edit profile picture

  • Hi, I cannot edit my profile picture. When I try to edit it, my WordPress dashboard says, “You can change your profile picture on Gravatar”. when I go to gravatar it asks for my wordpress.com account instead of wordpress.org. When I log into wordpress.com it says my account doesn’t exist because I am using www.remarpro.com credentials. I’m a little stuck here.

  • You’ll have to create a new account with WordPress.com. And make sure that you use the same email address for WordPress.com that you have with your www.remarpro.com site. www.remarpro.com will then automatically “pull” the avatar from WordPress.com that is associated with that email address. WordPress.com and www.remarpro.com are sort of two separate entities.

    The Gravatar service is per email address, not wordpress account. Your www.remarpro.com account is in no way associated with your website.

    Thank you so much, www.remarpro.com hasn’t pulled my avatar out of wordpress.com yet, still thanks!

    WordPress dot org won’t pull your Avatar from WordPress dot com but will accept the avatar that Gravatar dot com sends out as your ‘Gravatar’.

    A slight difference but sometimes significant when you’re trying to figure things out.
