• Hi all

Last night I installed and ran the WP Security Scan plugin which suggested I renamed all my database from wp_*** to something else. I ran the automatic database update which is part of the plugin but the update failed near the end with a ‘not enough permission’ error.

When I tried to run my blog it assumed I was starting a new blog and asked me to register a blog name etc etc.

I went into Phpmyadmin and manually renamed all my databases back to wp_*** and updated all references to the new database names (in wp_options etc) back to the default.

My blog is now back online OK with no postings lost but I find I can no longer edit pages. When I list the pages I only get the option to view – the edit/delete option is not displayed.

I thought this might be a user permissions error (even though I am logged on as admistrator) and so thought it might be worth a try adding a new user. I find I cannot do this. On the Users menu there is now no option to add new users.

    Can anyone help?

    Many thanks

    Mike McCann
