    Hello,
    first-time forum user here. Hope this is the place!

    So my problem is that I had to create a website with certain functionalities for class, and I cannot, for the life of me, edit anything in the stylesheet in editor.And I cannot change the width of my metaslider either.

    I’m wondering if these two problems are related.

    I’ve de-activated and reactivated all my plugins.
    Tried with different themes.
    Checked to see if there was an error with the child theme.

    Please, can someone tell me what I am missing??

    When you say you cannot edit, does that mean you cannot save changes, cannot open the file, or that changes are not apparent on the visible site?

    Please provide a link to a page on your site where we can see this. Thanks.

    Hi Steve,
    I mean that the CSS I put in the editor, or in a CSS plugin for that matter, will not be visible on the site.

    My site is: atelier.centaurtranslations.com

    This is what I put in the editor as a test:
    .site-description {
    color: rgb(255,0,0);
    font-size:1000px;
    }

    Colleagues and I tried other values and attributes, but to no avail.

    Hello,

    maybe you forgot to clear any cache?

    Try hard refresh. if you’re using chrome then press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + the reload button.

    Because that super big site-description of yours appear nicely in my browser..

    I see a site-description size of 20px.

    I see you’re using WP Super Cache. Have you tried temporarily disabling that plugin?

    Hello,

    Basically I make changes in the editor –> It doesn’t work, even after hard refresh –> I come back later, it has work 3o minutes later.

    I don’t understand. It’s like something is overwriting my stylesheet but I don’t know what.

    1) Disable WP Super Cache.
    2) Check with your host to see if they’re doing any server-level caching.

    OK wow, it was the static cacher on my webhost….
    Thanks a bunch Steve! It was driving me insane! Haha
