Cannot edit anything in dashboard or theme

  • I use Theme X and installed a new plugin this morning : NextGen Gallery. Since then I cannot do anything in my dashboard nor edit my pages as I cannot access them. I wanted to deactivate the plugin but cannot access them either.

    So now I get this message whenever I click something on the dashboard :
    ” Come join me on Wild New Adventures
    Subscribe
    Not found, error 404
    The page you are looking for no longer exists. Perhaps you can return back to the site’s homepage and see if you can find what you are looking for. Or, you can try finding it with the information below.”

    The website itself works:
    https://www.3chlifecaching.com/wordpress
    but no edits possible.

  • Are you able to use an FTP application to connect to your webhost and remove it from the wp-content/plugins folder?

    Brett,

    I am quite a novice . My son installed WP for me, and I installed the theme, but I have no idea how to use an FTP application. I can ask him, he’s not here now.

    Do you think it might be the plugin??

    It could be a plugin conflict with the X Theme. You might want to get in touch with the Theme Author to check if there is a conflict.
