Cannot edit any pages or posts

First try a few basic troubleshooting steps:
– Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
– deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
– If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

– if still no joy, try increasing memory .

I cleared cache, deactivated all plugins, and everything else you have suggested and still it won’t work. Many people are having this same problem. There has to be a reason for this and a fix, especially since it’s a well-known issue that has effected many users for a very long time. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do you have all plugins deactivated and a default theme active?

Did you find any JavaScript errors?

There isn’t any single “cause” of something like this – so it’s a process of elimination to try to find out what’s causing it on your site.

Actually, it’s now only letting me edit one page – the most recently updated page – Careers. Nothing else works on this entire site. This is terrible.

Is there some way of having direct contact, a phone call, with someone who can give a walk through to the average person? It seems like you have to be a rocket scientist to post in WordPress with all these bugs. It shouldn’t be this hard to fix. Can someone email me, get my login info, and actually help me?

I have tried everything suggested and still cannot edit the posts which is very important. Information has not been updated, pricing is incorrect, and we do not wish to be liable. But WordPress won’t help us out. Our site is https://riverdalehub.ca. We’re a small non-profit charity and we don’t huge funds to spend.

People here are trying to help you :)! These forums are completely volunteer. There is no “WordPress” to help you. There is no paid WP staff. Running a self-hosted site involves maintaining it yourself and yes, there will be problems sometimes.

I’m sorry you’re struggling with this and I do understand being a non-profit – I manage one in my “real job.” I do this WP help for free on my own time.

So, you need to deactivate ALL plugins and switch to a default theme – please do so now.
