Ok, I upgraded WordPress to 3.6 as recommended, and usually something goes wrong, and eventually I’m able to get it fixed at some point.

The latest “situation” is that after upgrading, I can no longer drag and drop widgets in place, nor expand the ones I presently use to work with them.

Does anyone know how I can fix this without too much difficulty?

    Thanks,
    Norm

  • Have you tried clearing any caching on your site and browser?

    Deactivating all plugins?

Switching to the twentytwelve theme to rule out theme issues?

No I have not tried any of those things as I didn’t know what to try.

If I switch to the 2012 theme, what does that do to the theme I paid for?

Those are just temporary steps to start trying to identify the source of the problem – and your theme’s settings will be saved – so you can switch back after fixing the problem.

I found something that worked. I deactivated the following plugin –
    Section Widget –
Display arbitrary text or HTML on certain sections of your site.
Version 3.1 | By Godfrey Chan (UBC CTLT), | Visit plugin site

After doing that, I could move the widgets to work on them. Then, I can activate again after working on them.

    Thanks for the help.
