    I initially activated the enforce strong password option for all users, but later I found it to interfere with the registration process for new users and therefore disabled it. However, I see that even after disabling it, new users still get redirected to the password modification page before their registration is complete.

    I found this closed thread from almost two years ago which described the same problem and is marked as not resolved, so I guess you either decided not to fix it, or maybe it just fell through the cracks. I am reporting this here just in case it is the latter.

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    Could you please confirm if WooCommerce is currently installed on the site as well?

    If yes, please use this code snippet to disable the WooCommerce Strong Password requirement: https://wpglorify.com/remove-woocommerce-password-strength/

    Kindly note that enabling the Refuse Compromised Passwords feature would also force users to change their passwords.

    Hey Shalom,

    WooCommerce is not installed on my site.

    However, I do have MemberPress installed. That is the only other plugin I can think of that also has a dedicated interaction with the registration and login processes.

    In this case, here is a note I found on MemberPress:

    NOTE: Password strength is based on the password entropy and commonly used words. MemberPress uses the password strength meter developed by Dropbox called zxcvbn. For more details on how this password strength meter works please visit their official documentation.

    I’ll suggest reaching out to their support as well to assist, perhaps they might have a custom code for disabling the requirements feature.

    Hello again,

    I use Memberpress for the registration and it works as expected. My problem is when itheme security takes over and redirects the user from the MemberPress registration form to the default WP registration page in order to enforce a stronger password.

    I am just trying to disable this in the settings of itheme security but for some reason it doesn’t take effect. I am pretty sure MemberPress will just tell me it has nothing to do with them and everything to do with the fact itheme security doesn’t seem to have disabled its own setting.

    Hey,

    I cleared cache and cookies several times, both locally, on the server, and even the CDN.

    Not sure what you expecting me to achieve here with the conflict test. I already know which plugins conflict – this only happens once I activate itheme security. Do you want me to see if this still reproduces without MemberPress?

    I really appreciate your help, especially since I am using the free version of the plugin. However, since MemberPress is more essential for me and heavily integrated into my website, I am afraid that in any case of a conflict between itheme security and MemberPress, it will be far easier for me to replace the security plugin, than to install more plugins, run diagnostics or mess around with scripts on a staging site. I am not a technical person, just a small independent content creator with very basic skills.

    Sorry but I already uninstalled your plugin earlier this week and installed another security plugin instead and it solved my problem.

    Thanks again for your willingness to help. I would have loved to give this solution a try but it’s a little too late now. However it’s still great that you suggested to me here. It will be helpful for other people who might encounter the same issue.
