• Hi,

    I’m unable to turn off the email notifications for the “Site Lockout” alert even though its already unchecked from the Notification Center settings.

    This is killing my monthly email quota. Pls help.

    System info:

    * WordPress 5.2.5
    * WooCommerce 3.6.5
    * iThemes Security 7.4.1

    Additional info:

    * I’m using Elastic Email provided by my hosting company. This was only enabled recently. And this was also the first time i received these emails.
    * I’m also using the Elastic Email plugin to enable the integration

    Does this mean that you only started getting those emails once Elastic Email was installed? If so, you may try disabling that plugin to see if the issue continues? In the Notification Center, the only other module that will send Site Lockouts is the Security Digest and will send either daily or weekly. Can you please verify that the Site Lockout Notifications and Security Digest have been disabled?

    Thanks,

    Hi Matt,

    Yes, this was the first time i’m getting the alerts. But before that, i was unable to send email entirely. Is it possible they’re older notifications? I’m already getting more than 800+ emails from this.

    And yes, both options are disabled.

    Hi,

    It certainly could be that the emails were backed up and then started sending when the email started sending. The plugin can only generate mail but doesn’t have the ability to send it. You may have your host look into your mail and see if they can clear out any backlogged mail that may still be there.

    Thanks,

    Matt

    I see. So it’s possible something like that could happen? Okay, I will look into this. Thx!
