version 3.1.1, out now, should fix the issue.
If the “X” doesn’t work, you can uncheck the new checkbox under Settings->Duplicate Post, tab “Display”.

Thanks for the super-quick response and fix! Close button fires the ajax to write the cookie – nag is gone for me ??

I suppose something’s changed in version WP4.7 because that code was the same as the previous versions of my plugin…

Not a WP 4.7 issue since I saw the problem with WP 4.6.1.

I don’t know, I had several sites with 4.6.* and had no problem before, but I experienced the issue only with 4.7.
Probably a race condition, though.

But all’s well that ends well ??
