    Good Day,

We cannot delete several subscribers (also WordPress Users) from our list. We cannot empty our trash either. There’s definitely either a bug or a functionality issue with your plugin.

    Details: Attempt to Delete Subscribers

Details: Results or Feedback After Attempting to Delete Subscribers

We read this topic concerning our issue, but still believe there’s a bug with your plugin.

As it turns out, our WordPress Users perform other functions for our website, so deleting them from our User List is not an option for us.

Bottom line, when attempting to delete the noted WordPress Users from our subscription list or empty our trash, the affected MailPoet pages (i.e., tables) should be emptied accordingly without having to delete them as site (i.e., WordPress) users.

Please advise. We truly believe a fix for this is merited.

    Thank you ??

    Hi @generosus,

That’s correct, you can’t delete subscribers who are also WordPress Users from the MailPoet plugin. That’s because the WordPress Users list is automatically synced, so even if you could remove them as subscribers, once the list is synced, they would be back to the list.

If you’re not planning on sending emails to these subscribers, you can disable the WordPress User list by following these steps: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/133-the-wordpress-users-list#disable-wordpress-list

    I hope it helps!

    Hi @bruberries,

Thank you for the prompt reply and info. We disabled the WordPress Users list, but still cannot empty the trash. We selected all of those users, then clicked on “Delete Permanently” but the trash still refuses to be emptied. Please try it yourself with one of your test set-ups. Something ain’t right ??

That’s expected, @generosus. As I mentioned, you won’t be able to delete these users as subscribers from the MailPoet plugin, nor empty them from the Trash.

But as long as the WordPress User list is disabled, they won’t be counted as subscribers towards your plan’s limit and you won’t be able to send emails to them.

    Hi @bruberries,

For now, we’ll go along with your solution. Long term, it appears that your MailPoet table should show an empty trash can when prompted (independent of type of user).

    Thank you!
