Cannot delete deactivated plugins

Don’t know, if this is the right forum for my problem: With WordPress 5.0.2 I cannot delete any deactivated plugin. I had the problem also with WordPress 4.9.9 before. When clicking “delete” nothing happens – but the page cannot be used any more (no links can be clicked any more). The page works well after a reload of the page – but the plugin I clicked to delete is still there.

How can I delete deactivated plugins?

Add: I found out, that this problem only occurs, when working with Safari on my Mac – all works well when using Chrome.
